Beer and Pizza as a Major Food Group

I want to start my first post off by saying that I really like my two roommates. I've been friends with them for years, or I wouldn't have signed a one year lease that obligates me to spend a good portion of my lesisure time in their company, sharing the same living space.

This blog isn't for the purposes of bashing them (although when I mentioned it to them, that's basically what they thought I was going to do). It's really going to be a place to document the interesting times I have as a girl living with two guys (well, ok, and to occasionally vent my frustrations--but they are free to post their responses here as well).

I got the idea to do this blog when talking with a couple of girl friends and telling them this story about when I first moved in:

Zach and Jesse had already been living here for about a week when I moved in, so I was the last to get settled. This is what I found in the kitchen the day I moved in:

In the Fridge:

1 half-full bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken
1 partially empty case of beer
1 half-empty bottle of water

In the cupboards:

1 fork
Paperplates
1 Bowl
1 1 cup measureing cup
1 bottle-opener

On the counters:

Various fast-food condiments
4 or 5 empty dominoes pizza boxes
lots of empty beer bottles
lots of empty beer cans
coupons for Dominoes pizza

As I was telling this to my friends (accompanied by the story of how one of my roommates hasn't bought any groceries yet to speak of, but did order 4 pizzas all for himself one time from Dominoes, which he ate for the next few days), I mentioned that I was thinking of doing a blog about living with guys, and my friends said, "I'd read that!". So, a blog is born.

Stay turned next time for pictures of what it looks like now that I've had a hand in things...(too bad I didn't get some before pictures).
